Overview of Automobile Scale


Car scales, also known as weighing scales, are the main weighing equipment used for measuring bulk goods in factories, mines, merchants, and other industries. Before the 1980s, common car scales were generally mechanical car scales constructed purely based on the principle of leverage, also known as mechanical weighing scales. In the mid-1980s, with the increasing maturity of high-precision weighing sensor technology, mechanical weighing scales were gradually replaced by electronic car scales with high precision, good stability, and easy operation. After more than 20 years of development, the technology of electronic car scales has reached a very mature and stable stage through continuous research and development, and according to the needs of different users, different functional car scales can be combined based on the scale body and electronic and electrical systems

Composition of electronic car scale structure


The standard configuration of electronic car scales mainly consists of three main components: load-bearing transmission mechanism (scale body), high-precision weighing sensor, and weighing display instrument, which can complete the basic weighing function of car scales. According to the requirements of different users, printers, large screen displays, and computer management systems can also be selected to meet the needs of higher-level data management and transmission.


Load bearing and transmission mechanism - a mechanical platform that transfers the weight of an object to a weighing sensor, commonly available in two types: steel structure and steel-concrete structure.


High precision weighing sensor - is the core component of a car scale, which plays a role in converting weight values into corresponding measurable electrical signals. Its quality directly affects the quality of the entire scale.


Weighing display instrument - used to measure the electrical signal transmitted by sensors, and then process and display the weight reading through specialized software. The data can be further transmitted to printers, large screen displays, and computer management systems.


Printer: used to print weight data forms

Ground foundation for the installation of electronic car scales


The foundation of a car scale is an important component to ensure its accuracy and stability. There are two types of car scale foundations: shallow foundation pit type and non foundation pit type (as shown in the figure on the right). The shallow foundation pit type: the installed scale body is flush with the ground, and its advantage is that it occupies less space, making it easier for cars to load and unload scales. However, when using this form, special attention should be paid to the drainage and dryness inside the scale pit. The scale installed without a foundation pit will be higher than the ground, so it is necessary to make a slope that can allow cars to move up and down. Therefore, it occupies a large space, but its good ventilation and dry environment can ensure that the car scale always maintains its ideal use state and is easy to maintain.


As the foundation is an important component of ensuring the normal use and overall quality of the car scale, the production of the foundation must strictly grasp the construction quality and accuracy.

Install weighing management system


If the customer is connected to the internet, video input can be achieved by installing three or two cameras, which are respectively used to take pictures of the front (license plate) and rear of the weighing vehicle(Check if the scale is loaded), above (whether the empty car is empty); Print and view the weighing status in two locations. If data can be printed outside the weighing room, another system can be installed in the finance or manager's office to view and print the weighing data at any time, which facilitates management and improves work efficiency.
